A few nights ago,
I had one of those dreams where the next morning I was saying to myself, “where the hell did that come from?”
In my dream, Rizzo from the Muppets had assassinated Kermit and then turned the gun on himself. Apparently, Rizzo was upset with Kermit’s stealing the spotlight in all the muppet [...]

Instant messaging,
over the years I’ve had differing feelings about this application, but probably about seven years ago, I really began to see the value of it for libraries. Around 2001, Sno-Isle started its ‘Ask a Librarian’ reference service, and part of my job at the time was to monitor it a few hours [...]

I’ve really been enjoying looking at everyone’s blogs.
Some are so pretty, and its just really interesting to me to see the templates that people have chosen and how they have gone about customizing/personalizing them. Some of the colors I would never choose for myself in a million years, but then I see them with [...]

Looking down the street after taking the side exit from the Paramount. You can see tomorrow night’s show is an award program honoring Quincy Jones and featuring Carlos Santana. Jones was born in Seattle and is one of the first honorees in the new African American museum that opened recently in Seattle.

One of the cuter moments in the show was when Andrew’s son, Andrew Jr. came on stage to throw balloons into the crowd. Later he joined the his dad onstage and played a guitar at least twice as tall as he is.

One of the very few pictures that is relatively in focus that I took at the show. With this little Olympus, the darkness makes holding the camera absolutely still essential if you want a decent picture. Of course the performers don’t stand still so some blur is just gonna be. But at least [...]

This is just one of my all time favorite venues in Seattle The whole place is just so cool on the outside and the inside. Some of the shows I’ve seen here are:
George Carlin in the 70s during the old Seven Dirty Words You Can’t Say on Television bit.
Bob Dylan in [...]

Tonight, I’m going to see the Presidents of the United States of America at the Paramount. Sweet!
Don’t know the Presidents? Well maybe you remember this tune, “Peaches”.
I found out today that PUSA did an instore set at Easy Street Records on the 10th. Damn! I guess even with all the various [...]

So….
we’re nearly through two weeks of the SIL 20 for 2.0 program and I feel like I’ve learned so much about management of a blog. There has been so much work to develop this program and I feel exhausted but lucky to be a part of it.
This week I’ve:
read over 200 emails
entered everyone’s blog into [...]
