Welcome to Jim’s 20 for 2.0 project blog.
Here I’ll be posting my thoughts about the various 2.0 tasks we learn each week as we go through the project. I’m particularly interested in the ways that these 2.0 tools can be used in our everyday work in libraries. Whether its asking patrons if they have a delicious feed to which we can push websites or integrating meebo me widgets as regular expected aspects of reference service, or using flickr, yelp, to help market our libraries I’m interested in using this project as a impetus to developing ways to advocating for more implementation of these tools. After all, free tools can be just as valuable as that suite of Office 2007 software the library just licensed for everyone.
Occasionally, I’ll just throw something up here that is silly or fun. I tend to put anything technological that relates to my job at the Collection Developments @ Sno-Isle blog, rather than here.
I am Collection Development Assistant Manager here at Sno-Isle Libraries. If you want to know more about me you can just hop over to my facebook page.

This first week of 20 for 2.0 has been an enlightening onefor me. I am reminded that, although technology is a wondrous thing, it doesn’t always work as expected. I’m looking forward to the next Thing.
Glad to hear you are enjoying this. I have been looking forward to this week for well over a year–since the day I heard about this program at PLCMC–and said, ‘oh man I wish we could do something this cool’. And now here we are..
